Insta Empire Episode 801: “Purge The Wicked”
Alliance members circled Kevin like vultures. A fire roared in the distance. The tension was suffocating.
Alliance Leader: (pointing at Kevin)
“Take him!”
Kevin: (drop-kicking the first attacker)
“You’re going to regret this.”
punches the next one to the ground
But before he could land a third strike—
Alliance Leader:
“STOP! Kevin—one more punch, and your friend Troy gets put down!”
Kevin froze. His eyes darted to Troy, who was groggy and helpless, with a dagger pressed to his neck.
Kevin: (calm, hands raised)
“We had nothing to do with the fire. Let us go, and we’ll help you find the real culprit.”
Alliance Leader: (grinning)
“I don’t want the culprit, Kevin. I want you.”
Suddenly, Kevin felt a sting in his arm. A guard behind him stepped away with an empty syringe.
Kevin: (staggering)
“…What… did you… do…”
Alliance Leader:
“Prepare the wicker man.”
Kevin awoke in a haze, trapped inside a wooden cage high above the ground. Troy was next to him, still out cold.
Kevin: (gently nudging him)
“Troy. Wake up.”
Troy: (blinking)
“Kevin? Where… where are we?”
Kevin: (glancing through the bars)
“Not at a picnic, that’s for sure.”
They were inside the head of a giant wooden statue. Below, alliance members gathered, chanting:
Crowd:
“Purge the wicked! Purge the wicked!”
Troy: (groaning)
“…Looks like we’re the picnic.”
The Alliance Leader stepped forward, addressing the crowd.
Alliance Leader:
“They are waking. Begin the cleansing ceremony!”
Troy: (shouting)
“Let us go! We’ve got reinforcements coming any second!”
Alliance Leader: (mocking)
“You’ve been saying that for hours, Mr. Evans. Accept it—they’re not coming.”
He looked up at Kevin.
Alliance Leader:
“Any last words?”
Kevin: (defiant)
“This was your plan all along. The fire was just bait. You’re the only wicked one here!”
Crowd: (chanting louder)
“Purge the wicked! Purge the wicked!”
Alliance Leader:
“They won’t listen to you, Kevin. They follow me.”
claps his hands. Torches are lit at the base of the statue.
Alliance Leader: (smirking)
“Thank you for coming, Kevin. Long live the Alliance.”
Crowd:
“Long live the Alliance!”
Smoke filled the cage.
Troy: (coughing, panicked)
**”We’re running out of time!”
banging the bars
Kevin: (calmly inspecting the wood)
“Wait… this is ironwood. Nearly unbreakable when dry, but soft when soaked.”
Troy: (hopeful)
“You serious?”
removes a pouch from under his armor
“They didn’t check my camel pack.”
Kevin:
“Perfect. Let’s get out of here.”
He dumps water onto the bars. The wood flexes. Kevin pulls—
Kevin:
“We’re out!”
Alliance Leader: (furious)
“They’re escaping! Don’t let them get away!”
Arrows flew, but missed. Kevin and Troy leapt as the statue collapsed in flames behind them.
The dust settled. Kevin and Troy stood, unharmed.
Kevin: (smirking)
“Nice try.”
cracks his knuckles
“Now it’s my turn to purge the wicked.”
Alliance Leader: (enraged)
“Kill them! Kill them NOW!”
The guards charged.
Kevin: (to Troy)
“They’re all level threes. We’ve faced worse.”
Troy: (grinning)
“Then let’s show them how level tens fight.”
The two sprang into action—Kevin with precise blocks and devastating punches, Troy with acrobatic kicks and wild speed.
Kevin: (dodging spears)
**”Keep your rhythm tight.”
lands a clean elbow strike
Troy: (vaulting over a guard)
“These guys are swinging like it’s their first day of training!”
Arrows rained down, but they dodged with elegance. In perfect sync, they dismantled the enemy one by one.
Troy:
“Let’s end it together!”
Kevin:
“Right behind you.”
Troy launched a flying kick. Kevin dashed forward—BAM! The final guard dropped.
Silence. Smoke. Victory.
Troy: (catching his breath)
**”There’s something I need to tell you—”
interrupted by shouting
Alliance Leader: (stumbling forward, wild-eyed)
“You must be punished… for stealing my wife!”
Kevin: (blinking)
“…Excuse me?”
The leader lunged with a knife—Kevin sidestepped. The man tumbled into the fire.
Alliance Leader: (screaming)
“Long live the Alli—”
cut off by flames
Troy: (staring at Kevin)
“This whole thing was about you and his wife?”
Kevin: (sighing)
“It’s… a long story.”
Troy: (shaking his head)
“Not the time, man. Sasha, Kyle, and Marcus are still trapped in that treehouse.”
Kevin: (nodding)
“Let’s go. We’ve got lives to save.”

Insta Empire Episode 801 Full Story
After separating from Kevin, the four cohorts, Sasha, Kyle, Marcus, and Troy, were kidnapped by alliance guards and imprisoned inside a treehouse. While the alliance leader distracted Kevin inside his tent, a fire broke out on the other side of the compound. When the leader arrived on the scene of the fire, Xavier presented Troy as the culprit behind the fire, as was the leader’s evil plot, and the alliance leader swore to turn Kevin to ash.
The alliance leader pointed at Kevin and yelled, Without question, the alliance members began to form a circle around Kevin, their eyes full of rage. Kevin dropped kick the first alliance member who tried to detain him and punched the second to the ground. Just as Kevin was about to land another kick, the alliance leader shouted, Stop! Kevin! One more punch and your friend Troy here gets put down! Kevin looked over and saw Xavier holding a dagger up to Troy’s throat, who was still too drowsy to fight back.
Kevin dropped his hands right away. He knew that Troy could easily overpower any foe in the camp, but it was obvious he’d been drugged, and Kevin wasn’t about to risk having Troy injured before he could think through the situation. He had a sincere look on his face.
We had nothing to do with the fire. Please, if you let us go, we’ll help you find the culprit. Kevin could have easily used his superior levels to upend the face-off that was going on, but he was a member of the alliance himself, and it wouldn’t look appropriate for him to commit an action that the leader could then tell others was a mutiny.
Kevin was assessing the situation slowly while knowing he’d come out on top, whether he took control quickly or after a bit of reasoning with the alliance leader. The alliance leader flashed Kevin a menacing grin. I don’t want another culprit, Kevin.
I want you. Just then, an alliance guard walked up behind Kevin and jabbed his arm with a syringe. Kevin started feeling dizzy and weak.
Before he collapsed on the ground, the last thing Kevin heard was the alliance leader say, prepare the wicker man. When Kevin stirred awake a few hours later, he was lying inside a round cage with wooden bars. When he looked outside, he saw that he was 50 feet in the air and closed in the head of a giant statue made of sticks.
Kevin looked over and saw Troy lying down beside him. With a gentle push, he shook Troy awake. Huh? Kevin? Where are we? I don’t know, but it doesn’t look like we’re at a picnic.
Kevin replied. They both tried to pull apart the wooden bars, but they wouldn’t budge. Down below, a crowd of alliance members started to gather around the giant wooden statue.
Troy still groggy viewed the angry members warily. It looks like we might be the picnic, he said quietly. With his eyes shielded by his tinted sunglasses, the alliance leader stepped in front of the statue and addressed the crowd.
Look, brothers and sisters, they are beginning to awaken. We may begin with the cleansing ceremony. The alliance members started to pump their fists and chant, purge the wicked, purge the wicked.
Troy shouted down from the top of the statue. Let us go. We have reinforcements on the way.
When the alliance leader chuckled, all of the other members laughed along with them. You’ve been talking about this back up for hours now, Mr. Evans. I think it’s time you accept that they’re not coming.
Troy refused to give up. Just wait and see. They’re going to bust in here any second now.
The alliance leader was sick of hearing from Troy. You’re awfully quiet, Kevin. Do you have any last words? Kevin looked down at the leader with fearlessness in his eyes.
This was obviously your plan from the start. You summoned me here to take personal revenge. The fire was just an excuse to get your followers on board with your plan.
Don’t listen to this clown, people. Can’t you see he’s manipulating you? The alliance members responded with a chant, purge the wicked, purge the wicked. The alliance leader looked up at Kevin and smiled.
You’ll never change their minds, Kevin. They are devoted to the alliance, which means they are devoted to me. Now, enough stalling.
Let’s get on with the cleansing ceremony. When the leader clapped his hands, a pair of alliance members stepped forward with torches and lit the bottom of the wooden statue. As the flame started to rise, the leader looked up at Kevin with a menacing grin.
Thank you again for coming, Kevin. Long live the alliance. The other members smiled with delight as the flames rose higher and higher.
Long live the alliance. Inside the head of the statue, Kevin and Troy were starting to cough as smoke filled the air. Troy banged against the wooden bars as hard as he could, but it was no use.
Kevin, on the other hand, was studying the wood with a calm expression on his face. Wait a second, these bars are made out of ironwood. It’s nearly unbreakable when it’s dry, but when it gets wet, it becomes incredibly flexible.
Troy stopped banging on the wood and looked over at Kevin with renewed hope in his eyes. Really? They stripped me of my weapons, but they didn’t notice the camel pack tucked into my armor. Here.
Troy took off his shoulder plate and retrieved a pouch of water strapped to his back. Then he handed it to Kevin. This is perfect, Troy.
Let’s get out of here. Kevin tore the pouch open and dumped the water all over the bars in front of him. Once they absorbed it, the wooden bars started to sag.
Kevin pulled them apart and created a large enough gap to climb through. When the alliance leader saw them starting to climb out of the statue, his face dropped. They’re escaping.
Don’t let them succeed. A group of alliance guards fired arrows at Kevin and Troy, but they all missed. Once they were both outside the cage, the statue started to topple.
The alliance leader sprinted away when he saw it beginning to sway. It’s coming down. Get out of the way, everyone.
As the burning statue toppled to the ground, Kevin and Troy jumped off at the last second. There was a huge cloud of ash and dust, but once it cleared, the alliance leader saw Kevin and Troy standing among the rubble, without a single scratch on either of their bodies. Kevin wiped the sweat off of his forehead and smiled.
Nice try, folks. Now it’s my turn to purge the wicked. The alliance leader turned red with anger.
Kill them. Kill them now. Most of the ordinary alliance members scurried into their tents, but the alliance guards grouped together and attacked Kevin with swords, spears, and arrows.
Kevin and Troy exchanged a quick, knowing glance before the guards descended upon them. Their attackers had the advantage of numbers and weaponry, but Kevin and Troy had the edge in agility and combat finesse that their superior levels granted them. As the first wave of guards lunged at them with gleaming blades, Kevin shifted into a defensive stance.
He parried their attacks with precise blocks and countered with rapid strikes of his own. Each of his movements was like a well-choreographed dance of combat. At the same time, Troy unleashed a flurry of powerful kicks and acrobatics to repel his assailants.
One by one, the guards started to fall like flies. Kevin ducked under a spear thrust, retaliating with a series of lightning-fast punches. Stay sharp, Troy.
We’ve faced worse odds than this. I can sense from their auras that most of these guards are level three at best. Troy somersaulted over an attacker’s sword and landed with a precise spin kick.
We’ve got this, Kevin. These guards are good, but they’re not as good as we are. The alliance guards attempted to encircle them, but Kevin and Troy maintained a seamless defensive wall.
Kevin’s movement seemed almost anticipatory, as if he could read the guards’ attacks before they were executed. Troy’s agility and surprise strikes kept their opponents off balance. A group of guards armed with bows began to unleash a volley of arrows aiming to subdue them from a distance.
Kevin and Troy, however, relied on their agility. They dodged and deflected incoming arrows with incredible skill. Kevin weaved between the guards with fluidity, disabling opponents with swift kicks and punches as he danced between them.
His hands and feet moved in harmony, leaving a trail of incapacitated guards. Meanwhile, Troy jumped over a slashing sword and backflipped over a group of guards. His spinning kick disarmed a guard and sent another crashing to the ground.
His movements defied the odds as he fought through the chaos. In the midst of the fray, Troy shouted, Let’s finish this together, Kevin. Kevin nodded, and with a display of unparalleled synchrony, they converged.
Troy launched a devastating flying kick, creating an opening for Kevin. As Troy’s kick sent several guards tumbling down, Kevin dashed forward and punched another in the face. Finally, Kevin and Troy were the only ones left standing.
The fallen statue behind them was still burning. The flames made the battleground hot, and Kevin and Troy were sweating profusely. After catching his breath, Troy looked at Kevin and said, There’s something else I need to tell you, Kevin.
Just then, the Alliance leader appeared in front of them and shook his fist. No, the wickedness must be purged. I won’t allow you to escape.
You must be punished for stealing my wife. The Alliance leader charged towards Kevin with a knife. When Kevin dodged out of the way, the Alliance leader lost his footing and tumbled into the fire.
He screamed as the flames consumed him. Long live the Alliance! Long live the Alliance! And then he fell silent. Troy looked at Kevin with a puzzled look on his face.
You’re telling me this whole thing was about you and his wife? Kevin sighed. It’s sort of a long story. Troy knew now more than ever before that the Alliance leader’s revenge plot against Kevin was fueled by insanity.
Kevin’s eyes and heart would never, ever leave Lily, and that anyone would think otherwise was a sign of Kray’s paranoia. Troy Evans looked out into the forest. Well, then I don’t have time to hear it right now.
Sasha, Kyle, and Marcus are being held in a treehouse, Kevin. We have to save them before it’s too late. Kevin agreed.
Let’s not waste any time, then. We have to save our friends’ lives.
